Facebook Landing Pages - THE WOW FACTOR!

Good lookin Facebook Landing Pages

Create A Little Magic!

We are all familiar with the Facebook Wall, not visually exciting but its what we are used to seeing when landing on someones Facebook page.  But not so long ago Facebook launched a feature called Landing Pages and this is when things became far more interesting and exciting!

Landing pages gives your business page the opportuinity to:

1 Stand out
2 Update your friends/followers in an exciting and enticing way
3 Generate likes
4 Promote events in a creative eye catching way

HOW EXCITING!

For all intents and purposes its a mini web page.  There is also the ability to create "fan" and "non fan" landing pages.  This means that when someone visits your page for the first time they will see a "non fan" landing page encouraging them to "like" your page and telling them a bit about you.

For fans and those who have already visited your page they will see a landing page welcoming them back to your page, again giving them the opportunity to see what is new with your business.

So if you're ready to start with your new and exciting landing page this tutorial is easy to follow and understand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bZgo3f0_58&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_724712&src_vid=QQ36ugmXsO4

Social Media Strategy

It sounds complicated and therein lies the trick....keep it simple!

It is easy to over complicate social media but with careful consideration you can formulate an effective strategy.  Make sure it is one that you can commit to maintain, being consistent is key to successful social media.

So, stay focused be creative and take it seriously.

Keep it Real

Tell your followers about your business beliefs, where you (your brand) have come from and where you are heading.  By giving your business a personal feel you will become approachable and build a reputation of trustworthiness.

Engaging content - its not only about your product/s

  • Keep posts relevant to your business.  Avoid bombarding your Fans every hour of the day - Facebook posts every 4-5 hours if you have more to say try Twitter (other avenues)

  • Less sales jargon and more content marketing - offer your followers useful information browse YouTube for relevant & interesting videos or maybe post a blog from time to time, they will be more inclined to check back with you.  Share information first, sell second

  •  Engaging with fans and friends is the name of the game, this is where you measure how effective your page is.  Create opinion polls, by asking direct questions you are more likely to get your fans actively partaking on your page.

Be Intentional

Calls to action need to be purposeful, think of this when setting up your facebook page.  Consider a landing page (more on this in my next post).  Compelling fans to "Like" and "Share" will be simply done with interesting and thoughtful content posts.

Be clear of your goals:
  • Accumulate friends and fans
  • Engage with interesting and relevant content
  • Offer discounts/competitions
  • Make sales

SIMPLE!

A Facebook Page for your business - What's the fuss?

There was a time it was said if your business did not have a website you would not to be taken seriously.  Now days Facebook is your new "must have" online presence.

Maybe you only have a Facebook page because you were told you should have one but you have done nothing with it...you're not the only one!
Or worse (yes they are out there) you created a Facebook page but can't remember your password....don't feel alone...maybe just a little embarrassed!

So why should your business have a Facebook page?
  • Facebook allows you to interact with your clients as well as connect with new potential clients.
  • You have the opportunity to "show off" your business.  Use of punchy images, informative links and you have them engaged.
  • Through regular updates friends/fans can be kept informed on events, specials and all subjects relating to what you do that might interest them.
  • Your competitors are probably at it, so if you want to stay in the game a current, updated Facebook page is going to make all the difference.

    Consider:

    - To be successful on Facebook you need to be clear about
your business goals and have a "social media strategy"
      (more on this later).

    - Decide if being part of the world's biggest social network
is going to grow your business - and take steps to make it
      happen.

While nothing beats that one to one interaction with customers in person, social media/networking allows you to take your business to them!  Social media done correctly will land all the information your friends/fans need to know about your business and they will love you for it.
Knowledge is power - Can you really say Facebook is not for your business?

I hope this post has inspired you to have a look at your business and get it on Facebook...it's not going to go away it's growing fast, so don't get left behind!
